We would sell Collins for £2m and sell an out of contract Cuellar for £4m. Also, we will sell all our strikers for half their true value. We will somehow get £4m for Bannan and someone will pay £3m for a league one player in Delph.

Yeah all right chap.
Cuellar is a free agent £0

Gabby has been poor, but like N'Zogbia, I think he'd thrive under a proper Manager.
A manager who let's creative players express themselves.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we have a fire sale at the end of the season, relegation or not.

Top work Villa.

I think Gabby leaving the club is a done deal already, and would go as far as to say there have been a number of interested clubs, one reason why Gabby is under performing IMO, he is a Villa fan to the man, MON's going for him because he knows full well that Gabby playing in the right side and under the right manager is a top, top player, this kind of news getting out there which is the 2nd time in as many weeks will alert the top clubs which could result in us getting more for the player.

How the likes of Chelsea or Liverpool and even Arsenal (different style of play) who lash out countless millions on the likes of Torres and Carrol is beyond me and I think clubs will look at this and think "we could pick up Agbonlahor for 12ML.........buy now", I think Gabby will become one of the must have players in the next transfer window and good luck to him and good luck to the club that get him because they will be getting a player that is well capable of 15/20 goals a season, a player that can destroy defenders at will and and awesome asset, MON knows this.

As for Villa, we will have to get used the fact we will be looking at a player playing for another club in dynamic form, scoring goals, thrilling opposition crowds while they chant is name that we used to enjoy, and knowing he's a Villa fan..................That to me is how shockingly awful this club is run and managed.

IMO, phucking disgrace but inevitable, if Gabby goes I wish the bloke all the best, it what he needs and personally look forward to watching him for his new club and for England.

Gabby's a decent player, but you're totally overselling him there!

Mind you, he looked top class for the first three months of the season. The difference between Gabby then and Gabby now, both in performance and body language, is horrifying. What's happened?

I don't think Gabby's among the very top strikers in the league, but he's probably gettable for £8-10m which, for a 25 year old, is a good deal.

Regrettably, I can see us selling him and, bearing in mind his overall goal output, his performances in the last few months, the overall system we tend to use, and the potential to replace him using that money, it wouldn't be a bad thing for all concerned.

Bloody shame, though.

Can nobody else remember gabbys interview a couple of months ago telling clubs not to bother bidding for him as he had no desire to leave his boyhood club? he is now captain of that club and i for one have faith in his word and believe he will outlive mcleish here and get back to where he was before it all went wrong.
And before anyone brings up that weasel downing just dont. One is a villa fan, the other is a money hungry

Gabby had never played football till he was 14. Forget boyhood club rubbish. He has  been shocking  this season. I dont like my manager but i still do my job.,We have needed Gabby as a leader this season and he has let us down.

You would hope so.

On paper, a front three of Gabby, N'Zogbia & Bent should be quite good.

Not sure if he could really say anything else, but a very close source to Gabby ( not sure if I can say who) told me he would never leave as all his family and friends were here. That was before we were in this horrific position though

If someone is mad enough to offer 12 million for Gabby, we would be mad not to take it. He is an average premier league striker.

Yeah, but how many times do you hear that sort of shite from footballers, but when it comes down to it. it's a different story.

Gabby has been really disappointing this season. I'd consider moving him on.

Ability wise yes, but with the blistering pace he has that raises him up a level, IMO.

One of the reasons we had such a good away record under MON was Gabby's pace.  Teams were afraid to push up against us because of him, and Ash, hitting them on the break.  Any scouting of us in away games would have shown that.  So we didn't get put under as much pressure as some other sides when away, because they acted like a deterent.

Not sure about a lot of that to be honest.  Don't get me wrong, i really like Gabby but over many seasons now he has failed to deliver to his "potential" on any kind of regular basis.  I think i read he has a scoring ration of 0.23 per game in the league which is poor.  I would be gobsmacked if any top club will be after him but wouldn't be too upset at all if he left for any team as I think the funds generated could provide something better and he should by no means be a starter for villa. He is neither a top striker, top winger, top attacker in the hole or whatever.  The stats back that up. Is he worth £10m? Get real.  I think there is a lot of emotional value in those type of numbers.  £5m is more like it.

I agree. His pace is only an asset if he uses it well John. Michael Owen had pace and used it to brilliant effect. Gabby, not so much.

Absolutely, because as we all know, you cannot have a boyhood club unless you play football from the age of 6.

What a load of tosh.
