I'd disagree, Gabby is a better all round player than Bent, but his movement in the box is not as good. I'd even say their finishing is on par, Bent misses sitters too. Bent just has that brilliant ability to get in that space more often so gets more chances to score. Owen was like this, he scored lots of goals but also missed a lot too.

Most top forwards miss more because they are there more.  Gabby is always behind the defender. He is a decent target man, but never a top 4-6 player. The MO of a centre forward is to score goals and that is what they are measured on.
Neither are top 4-6 players though. He plays for us and not Utd, City, Spurs etc. Spurs sold him when they were only a top 6 club. I admit I like him, he scores our goals. Just a pity Gabby hasn't got that extra ability to see the yard space in the box. Or just the same a pity Bent  does not hold it up like a centre forward should.

Albrighton is a weak link sorry to say.  Zero composure.

Is it so difficult to hold possession for 5 minutes & frustrate the opposition?

This is just fucking surreal.

It would be wonderful if Blackburn would just roll over for us but unfortunately they've rediscovered a bit of fight. We just need to weather the storm and take our chance when it comes.

And once again, I'm watching the clock run down, wondering if we can hang on to a lead. It's never easy, is it?

Blackburn 22/1 to win now.

That's a generous price.

Good subs. Gards & Bannan. No Heskey.

But N'Zo off before Albrighton? Not for me.

I just think we waited so long for a top forward, we now have one and we can't wait to play him down because it puts Gabby's nose out of joint. Looking at it objectively, against the worst side we have seen for 45 minutes and us playing well, when did Gabby look like scoring?

Shoring up midfield. Makes sense - especially as he didn't bring Heskey on
