I think if he's got any ambition he'll leave. He's 27 so unless he wants a job as a professional prem reserve 'keeper he needs to move. a year or two at a championship side perfroming well and he'll be back in the premiership with a big club.

Happy if he stays. Goes with my best wishes if not.

I reckon it will boil down to.

Are we keeping Given beyond the summer? If so then Brad must know his chances could be limited to half a dozen games here and there and the odd cup match.
Does he actually want a proper career or is he happy to do a Taylor and make lots of money from being a career second choice who has had virtually no proper career.

How happy would we be if this contract was being offered to a 27 year old defender, striker or midfielder that will spend most of the time on the bench?

Like most I'd love for him to stay as we all know what a good keeper he is, but to be honest if I was him I'd probably leave in search of regular first team football, I could see him playing for someone like Bolton, they need a decent keeper - or perhaps one of the teams that comes up next season.

I would also be happy if he stays I think he is a good back up keeper for Shay but whether he stays or not is another matter.
