30th Anniversary of Rotterdam '82
« on: March 02, 2012, 11:30:30 AM »
Hi Folks, Im the manager of a Sunday AM football team and we have provisionally arranged a charity/fundraiser against the AVFC Old Boys (Details Below) which happens to fall on the weekend of the 30th Anniversary of the European Cup Win.  Ken McNaught has promised a top villa turnout including the below players, and they are gonna have a right old piss up in the club after to celebrate 30 years on.  If anyone wants to play against some of that team in rotterdam please get in touch:

Sunday May 20th @ 14:00PM
Yates Sports & Social, Lime Lane, Pelsall, WS3 5AS

We are looking to raise as much money as possible towards the charity and also funds for our local football team.

If anyone is interested in playing for Lime Lane FC in the game please contact me on limelanefc@hotmail.co.uk or via PM or mobile on 07919052098.

We are looking for a donation £100 per shirt of which there are 16 available or £150 per shirt to guarantee a 90 minutes, albeit, only six 90 minute shirts available. Also a donation of £25 can guarantee the Captains armband. All on a first come first shirt basis

Villa squad list is af follows:

Nigel Spink, Ian Taylor, Mark Chrichton, Mark Delaney, Steve Staunton, Pat Heard, Colin Gibson, Dennis Mortimer, Des Bremner, Shaun Teale, Bryan Small, Ugo Ehiogu, Stephen Froggatt, Tony Daley, Andy Townsend, Gordon Cowans, Dennis Mortimer, Tony Morley, Mark Walters, Dean Saunders, Dion Dublin, Mark Kinsella, Mark Burke, Lee Hendrie, Darren Bradley, Martin Carutthers and Stan Collymore.  Manager: Ken McNaught

Also, if anyone is interested in sponsoring the game please let me know, we will make sure the game is advertised in the villa programme, local press, villa old boys website etc........

Help and support would be appreciated for what is a good cause and should be a great afternoon.

Thanks in advance

Adam

Alex McLeish bumped into Ron Saunders the other week and they got talking about the European Cup winning team. McLeish asked Ron what did he think the score would be if the 1982 Champions of Europe team played against his team of today. Ron thought for a while and then said "it would probably be a draw".
Feeling pleased with himself Alex walked away smiling, then Ron shouts after him, "although they haven't trained together for nearly 30 years mind"
