They said he was surly to their reporters afterwards and that he's a bad loser.

Good. I like him even more then.

I'm sick and tired of having good losers as Villa manager. I want them to be fucked off every bit as me when we lose. I want to know that he's probably giving to his players too and not suggesting we've been brilliant on the back of a 4-0 defeat. For better or worse he displays his emotions and much as he was a player passionate about the game. I like that and if it means sticking to those numpties at WM even better.

When we win the semi-final it will be some bull like '' is the cup run in danger of sending Villa down?''

That's exactly what it'd be like, too.

Anyone unfamiliar with WM and their relationship with Villa would probably stumble on this thread, read some of the stuff said and think we were nuts and imagining it, but they really, genuinely are like that.

We know the club look on here and there's enough stuff reported in the press to know the papers read messageboards avidly. I wonder if someone from the BBC has ever noticed a (now) 77 page thread about their local station and thought "Maybe there's something wrong here"?

Now that their favourite bum chum team , Walsall ,have had their day in the sun with as much coverage as a royal wedding, I trust the station is now four square behind the Villa's Wembley appearance.
Thought not.

The Walsall coverage was understandable though, it was the first time they'd ever been to Wembley and their first Cup Final for a long long time or maybe ever, i've no idea.

Christian Benteke v Brown Ideye argument last week just proves they are just on a massive wind up.

Wasn't that the Evening Mail?

If we won the FA Cup it would be 'is this just papering over the cracks?'

I don't think I've ever listened to WM.
From what you lot say on this thread, I'm glad I don't, but of course there's a sort of morbid curiosity that makes me think I need to listen to it because it sounds so shite.
Will I be able to get it on my wireless? I can get Family Favourites, Round the Horne, The Clitheroe Kid and 5Live.

My sister tunes in to WM to listen to Villa matches and has never complained, but doesn't possess the highly tuned level of cynicism that all of us on here share so generously.

When we win the FA Cup this season, Franksy will want to know how of the Villa side would get into the 1968 Albion side.

I don't mind their general commentators on the matches, I prefer listening to them than Tom Ross screaming that a throw in has just been awarded.

Paul Franks though and to a lesser extent Regan, those two are massive wind up merchants that you'd expect to find on commercial radio, not the public broadcasting service ffs.

Either that or "Albion would have won it if Brown Ideye had taken that chance in the quarter final".

Radio WM: file under "irrelevant"

I'd go far to say that it is one of the worst radio stations I've ever had the misfortune of listening to...and if you go beyond the football coverage, you will find a whole new level of shameful radio broadcasting funded by our license fees. From the early morning phone ins, to the pathetically outdated music selection and inaccurate travel news, Radio WM is reason enough for license fee to be abolished.
