We need to work out how to get a threat. I'd bring Ireland or Bannan on for Heskey.

I'd bring Kevin Macdonald or Sid on for the big useless lump.

Stoke and Villa must be the two poorest football sides in the Premier League, this is absolutely dire.
We are but not Stoke as they have never aspired to play football.

Sad but true. There's absolutely no denying that. McLeish and Pulis are managers who have not been able to tranform their football philosphies to this modern era. We play like it is still 1990's. Since MON left I said that we need a young manager with fresh ideas. Not one of these knuckleheads who have no clue whatsoever how to play passing football

Ozzjim. I'd point out your misjudgement re: zonal marking, but it would bother paulie. I still blame global warming, and I don't expect to be corrected.

it doesn't bother me, Percy.

I don't understand why you're so obsessed about it, that's all. Feel free to knock yourself out, though.

Sky must be enthralled with their decision to put us and Stoke on Boxing Day. Still, we have countered their primary threat which is a key objective met so far. I'd like to see us get in on the ground a bit more to play it wide faster. Another nasty thing about Stoke is that they have one of the narrower pitches in the league to help their throw-ins so it makes it tougher for our wide players. One way or another we have to be them in the game.

However we will need him to play  the great  defensive role when Stoke put us under pressure as no doubt we  let them in the second half!

I don't like Gary Neville and his monotone Manc slur, but he does actually make some decent points.

You can see how he got the gig.

Like I said we tried to play and you can imagine with Ireland or Bannan in the side instead of Heskey that might be easier.

We're definitely trying.

We're just not very good at it, and a result, aren't having too much success.

To be fair Heskey hasn't done that bad for the team tonight.

Scarily this is light years better than the manc and 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' home games.

Oh agreed, but at least the fact we are trying means we can have some hope that Mcleish might have some sort of reasonable plan moving forward.
