Why do we always seem to pander to the opposition?

Whats wrong with trying to impose ourselves on the game?

This...play your own game AM. After a promising display last time out I fear any "momentum" will be lost. We are just asking to be bombarded..as if they needed any encouragement. Playing Bannan and Ireland may have seen us keep the ball more, and more importantly, away from them.
Oh well, can't say I am surprised.

Stoke: Sorensen, Huth, Jones, Wilson, Shawcross, Whitehead, Walters, Etherington, Shotton, Woodgate, Palacios. Subs: Begovic, Pennant, Diao, Upson, Delap, Wilkinson, Jerome.
Well, if Woodgate is at FB, it's time to rip him a new one. Charles, Albie - please step up.

Not surprised the mule is back: he can - apparently - defend corners.

Unfortunately it tends to be our own corners.

This game should not be the late televised one. They should have selected a game with more entertainment potential and one where the away fans would have had a long journey to attend.

Not surprised the mule is back: he can - apparently - defend corners.

That argument was the only going for him. The fact we have conceded more with him in than without disproves it.

Picking him even over a player like Gardner to play in midfield it is a travesty.

And Bent scores goals. Worse players have played for the top 4, and I reckon Chelsea and Liverpool would kill for him at the moment.

Heskey and Collins back in the side. Will this manager ever learn they are just not good enough?

I can understand Collins given that Hutton is suspended and Herd is injured, but Heskey bewilders me.

They are in to combat the aerial threat posed by Stoke. I just hope it doesn't mean we'll resort to long ball again when attacking. It would be a serious step backwards.
