At Swansea away their programme informed me recently that Villa have won the League Cup more than any other team.

This must be news to Liverpool fans....

It also referred, two or three times, to the fact that we won it in 1963. Perhaps they just couldn't believe that Small Heath had won a trophy before Chesney chucked last year's final, in which case fair enough.

These mistakes are embarrssing, I know many poeple think the programme is boring and patranoising but, the standards of production are quite frankly a joke.
Nice one mate, this is an internet net forum not an English class.

You are welcome.  I just see a touch of irony in someone scrutinising a publications factual inaccuracy, when they themselves can't be bothered to do a spell check.   It's a bit like Ricky Gervais calling Santa a fat ******.

This is not really the same thing though is it. The programme represents the club in an official capacity and therefore should be 100% correct. No excuses. Someone typing their opinion on a forum and having it criticised for spelling is a little unnecessary, regardless of the context of the complaint.

A bit of a poor comparison, this is a forum for opinions and peoples grammar should not really come into question. A publication that used to be one of the best in the country made 5 factual errors during one edition, would you like to be informed we were formed in 1854?

So, please don't be critical about my English when i'm trying to express an opinion.

I know when my team is formed so therefore don't need informing, those that do then I suppose could be upset at being ill informed.

My opinion, as this is a forum, was that your criticism was ironic given that your English had exposed some glaring mistakes too.

I think our publication is still one of the best, 5 factual errors do not deter my opinion.

Shouldn't it be McCann's Patch if we are being pedantic?
