A word of warning to anyone thinking of getting the new home or away shirt in the near future.

Yesterday I had to take back my home shirt to the Villa store for a refund, the second time I have had to take the shirt back. The first time I exchanged it as the Genting logo was slanted. I asked for a refund due to the Macron logos on the shoulders peeling off after 3 washes. Not good enough Villa. I have never had to take a Villa shirt back because of poor quality. Not worth £45.

The staff in the Villa store totally agreed with me, even saying thier training gear 'uniform' had similar issues with macron logos peeling off.

Also caught wind of one member of staff saying to supervisor, "all we have had is refunds today" to which the supervisor said, "Im not surprised."

So if your thinking of getting either new shirt, just keep in mind it probably wont last the season.

I took my lads down at the weekend to get some tickets for tonight.

Although there is a wide choice of Macron products, they are for me pretty naff and poor quality. Say what you like about the Nike kits and their late delivery but the training gear was top notch.

Having Macron pretty much refelcts where we currently stand in the greater scheme of things...

Look at Swansea's kits this year, unique to them and very classy as opposed to the striped template that WBA/Stoke/Sunderland have.

I sat behind a guy on the Holte on Saturday who had the new shirt. The macron logos had almost completely come off. Must have washed it a few times.

It is a dreadful kit, made worse by the fact the socks are a darker blue than the shirt.

I read a tweet from a fan on the weekend complaining about the kit and that she had had to exchange it again due to the logo's coming off.  Very poor from Macon.  Looks like i wont be getting one until they have sorted this out.

I just checked mine and after 3-4 washes the Macron logos are starting to lift.

I wonder what the sales are like at the moment. The only Villa kit I'd ever buy is the training stuff but the Macron gear is absolute trash. It's almost like Lerner is kitting us up for the Championship.
I hope we haven't signed a long contract with them.

That's no excuse.

It's not as if they've never made football kits before.

And what was his advise?  30 deg wash with now spin? Use fairy non bio as opposed to Daz? lol
The fact remains that the quality is obviously not the best.  I have a few older tops and training tops and none of the logos are coming off and i have washed them like over 100 times

Strange, as when we signed with Macron, someone posted a link to that West Ham forum where they were all saying the kit are the best quality they've ever had.

Wasn't the argument that -okay Macron might not be big players- but they'd give us more individual treatment than Nike?

That Nike only used templates with us, and Macron would push the boat out.  Seeing as we're (supposedly) the biggest club they have on the books et.c

That Braga kit from the other night looked vaguely familiar.

Pretty sure I've seen West Ham players and Fat Sam interviewed in identical training gear too.
