Our season ticket prices aren't that bad tbf unless you sit in the Trinity.

I think the point people miss/don't realise when they have a season ticket is our actual matchday prices have rose significantly over the past  years as the quality on the pitch has decreased.

Take tommorrow's game. 2 or 3 seasons ago a category A game against Manure would've cost 24 quid in the North stand upper. Tommorrow it's 31 quid.

I think tickets in the Trinity and Witton are 45 quid tommorrow, take someone who wakes up on the day of the game and wants to go, are these really prices they'll pay without hestitation?

That's part of the reason we're struggling to sell out for Manure as less season ticket holders means more potential matchday customers.

I would not call it a privilege to have a season ticket, it is a lifestyle choice. And one that I am finding it harder to justify

Exactly.

We can grandstand as much as we want about "to be privileged to have an AVFC season tcket", but it is ultimately rather hollow.

It is a large expenditure that people undertake as a hobby, and is subject to all the economic constraints and uncertainty that everything else is.

I had an email this morning from Viagogo offering me a United ticket and a Swansea ticket for 30 quid.

I have paid 26 quid for 2 Swansea tickets
19 for 1 Arsenal ticket
14 for 1 QPR ticket

All in Row O Upper trinity Block A

I think the main problem is the product - if we continue to play this awful brand on non football then i dont think we will see VP full again - thats even if we gave the tickets away

Folk are just bored of it all

That's what I've done, and then right on kick off, I'll move into one of the large number of empty seats around the half way line, same as I've done before this season.

Does the club actually monitor which fans these tickets go to, as until recently it was illegal to resell tickets because of this?

Also just noticed Villa got the sh*tty end of the stick when the Christmas games were drawn. No home games for the Christmas week, which would usually push up attendances, even against smaller clubs.

I think the main problem is folk are skint or worried about being skint in the future and Christmas is just around the corner. There is a lot of belt tightening going on even for those lucky enough to still have a job.

Everytime you switch on the news it is more financial doom and gloom, in all sectors consumer confidence is down and less money is being spent. Why should football be any different.

Times are hard, but if the team were playing like Man City, VP would be packed at every home game. The commercial department must find it difficult to peddle mediocrity to lapsed supporters.

If the product on the pitch was exciting, we would definitely increase our attendances. It would be deluded to think that AM's appointment did not influence attendances, it has.

Of course it has an impact.

It's easier to justify buying an expensive product in hard times if you have a good expectation it will be of high quality than if you expect it to be poor.

The club know exactly what is going on.

Viagogo conatct them to make sure that you are a supporter so the club must give them yr booking ref.

It costs £300m to play like Man City.

Which would pack Villa Park for every home game.
