Guzan, Webb, Clark, Lowry, Baker, Albrighton, Johnson, Gardner, Grealish, Bannan, Burke.

That'll learn 'em.
Good call. After just coming in from the U19's vrs Ajax there are a couple more we could use

I do wonder why we always seem to wait to try the youngsters. Gardner is 19 now and yet to feature, surely it's time to start to playing him?

Fuck it.

                   Shay
    Cuellar   Dunne   Clark
                   Herd
        Gardner        Jenas
  Bannan                   NZogbia
            Bent      Gabby

Petrov on for Gardner after the break or if we arent in control and move to

                   Shay
Herd     Cuellar   Dunne   Clark
                   Petrov
        Bannan         Jenas
                NZogbia
            Bent      Gabby

Hutton, Warnock and Collins dont deserve it at all. McLeish said he would drop defenders who arent defending...time to do it.

I expect to see

                   Shay
Hutton   Collins  Dunne  Warnock
             Petrov  Herd
NZogbia       Jenas            Gabby

                    Bent

Bench: Guzan, Clark, Cuellar, Delph, Bannan, Weimann, Heskey

I can't believe people keep picking Petrov. He is THE problem with the team. It is only the introduction of Herd that has improved his performances. He has no stamina, no energy, no pace, limited passing.Ireland offers a foward breaking midfielder who tries to get in the box, Bannan has his passing.

Petrov needs to be shown the door tbh, average at best.Herd was by far our best player last night, what does that say.

Can't believe I'm reading the first bit, let alone the second. Would you really want Stephen Ireland replacing Petrov? He can't tackle!! Petrov has been one of the better players this season and at times a step above the rest. I am a fan of Ireland but he cannot play where Petrov does, he can only play behind a striker.

I can't believe you can't see Petrov is part of the problem. He slows everything down. To move forward he needs to be left out. However, replacing him with Ireland is not my way forward.

  Well i like Ireland EffDee.

Yes hes a basket case, but hes the kind of player that Bent needs.Supporting him and playing off him.He is the only midfielder at the club who gets in the box, a la Platt and Taylor. We nned a Stephen Ireland kind of player in the squad. If hes not up to it, fair enough, and get rid, but i have to say give him a few games, he can't be worse than that shower of shite last night.
I don't doubt that he played some really good football at times during his career. But he's a freeloader and a corrosive influence on the squad. He is not the future (presumably if only because of his high wages) and is taking up space in the squad that would be better-suited to someone on the "upp" - i.e. BB or GG.

And he has a face that makes me want to punch it!

                  Given
Cuellar Dunne Clark Delph(attacking lb)
                  Herd
         Bannan   Jenas
Gabby                       N'Zog
                  Bent

Subs : Seigrist , Gardner, Sweatrov, Hutton, Ireland, Albrighton, Weimann

Gabby and Zog Switching. Gardner to come off the bench for zoggy if not performing and push bannan wide.

Gabby to be given a rest after 70 mins for Albrighton

Will Coconut man go for it? I doubt it. Surely he see's he must reshape his defence and drill everybody on how not to lose the ball from deadball situations. how we manage to lose possesion from every throw in , goal kick and even kick off is astounding.

I really think its about time Gary Gardner was given at least 30mins/45mins.  He is 19 and I believe if you are good enough then you are old enough.  Why are we waiting to unleash one of our hottest prospects from our academy?  Everton started playing Rooney at 16, Leeds started playing James Milner at 16, Michael Owen started at 17 right?  So why not Gardner?  Do the management feel he still isn't good enough?

Going 4-4-2 in this match would be as suicidal as it was on Monday. Watch Swansea pass us to death if we do.

I know people are saying that Gabby should be played through the middle, but I think unless we are playing a side who are going 4-4-2 as well, we are far better off going with 3 in the middle and getting Gabby to play wide of Bent.

Is Jenas fit? Was he fit for Monday?

In fairness Gardner was injured for a lot of last season otherwise I'm sure he would've been played along with Hogg when we had our mammoth central midfield injury crisis.
