So we are now level due to the ineptitude of the referee and his even more stupid sidekick with a flag in his hand. What a disgrace. If Herd had kicked out at Olsson, he would have been rolling over the floor.

Football is shit, to add a continuous sense of injustice to much of it only serves to make it more unpalatable these days. Had enough of the whole charade.

Agree. I really struggle to enjoy it any more.

Absolutely no doubt that we should be down to 10 men.

Hutton's "tackle" was a disgrace and Shane Long is very lucky not to have a broken leg and a year out of the game.

It is though the most unfathomable awarding of a penalty and sending off I have ever seen.  Didn't the linesman not wonder why Olson showed no reaction whatsoever to the coming together?

Can't see us holding out or scoring again now.

Didn't Herd do a bit of afters on Olson in the box just before the penalty incident..............

That's kind of nailed the way I feel.

linesman shouldnt ever get an EPL game again. How can someone get a decision that wrong?

Thought we were playing some decent stuff up to then and should have been 2 goals up. Herd and Bannan were combining well and Gabby had Reid in trouble.

Cuellar is back from a long lay off but I dont think he can be any worse than Hutton who was diabolical yet again and if a West Brom player committed that karate kick on a Villa player, we would be screaming for red. Disappointing to concede a set piece. Super delivery but both our centre halves were beaten to the jump.

Nzogbia has been disappointing again as has Bent. Id go with Nzogbia for the hook. Clark to come in. Bent might sneak the winner.

The half could be the making or breaking of us this season. Come on Villa.

I think N'zogbia's been poor anyway, can't believe Ireland didn't start.

They are replaying it time and time again. They can zoom into the point where you see the goose bumps on Herd's arm, but you still won't see a penalty. An utter joke of a decision.

Well it was the worst red card ever.

Someone said Herd was a liability to himself earlier..sad as did not do anything much to get card! Villa luck??

Agree, N'Zogbia a myth to me, and Bent is really struggling to deal with his marker, he's having to come very deep to shake him.

How that rotund twat is fit to referee is beyond me. I swear these officials make it up as they go along. Disgraceful. Between him and his sidekick with the flag they have ruined this game.

Phat Dowd costs us yet again the bloke is useless.

lets hope Dowd decides to equal it up Scharner the most likely culprit.

I hardly think we can claim continuous bad luck as Hutton didn't get sent off.

come on lads less of the whining. As others have said Hutton should have gone anyway. There isnt a law to say 10 men cant win a game so lets see how the second half plays out. Would be a great one to win now.

but if the linesman says he stamped on him, Dowd has no option but to send the player of and award a pen, whether he's seen it or not.
its the linesmans fault not Dowd's

How many times do you see 10 play better than 11.............
