I don't like to say anything positive about the Times, but that's very good.

Just a thought on this subject of celebrity fans.......no pictures or any sightings of Nigel Kennedy recently.  Is everything OK there?  Does anyone know if he was in Istanbul?

Quite a few years ago I was in Marrakech airport and spotted the back of a guy looking in a shop window wearing a Villa Agbonlahor shirt. As I was bored and Villans abroad were a rarer sight than these days, I thought I’d go up and say a quick hi/ up the villa - when the guy turned round it was flipping Nigel Kennedy! He was really friendly and we had a good chat about all things Villa. He mentioned that he lived in Krakow with his Polish wife, not sure if he’s still there but might explain why he fell off the radar a bit. Seemed like he was all over the tv for a while in the 90s/00s.

I had a piss next to Nigel Kennedy in a pub after Fulham away. He was sound, I didn't shake his hand mind.

I met him in a pub at a QPR game (pub was next to the Hammersmith Odeon I think). He called me 'cat' (i'm sure it was cat). Lovely fella.

Were you in something skin tight at the time? Or had you just had a tuna melt, perhaps?

He was licking his arse.

This made me laugh out loud and I nearly choked on my bowl of whiskas.
