He should get together with your pal Paudie and reset Anglo-Irish relations for good.

I don't see why not. I imagine that if he supports any team in Gaelic football, it's the Kingdom.

True, he's got a couple of options. :) Catherine can cheer for Laois.

My lad has been playing Gaelic football for the last couple of months, I’ve been along to pretty much every one of his training sessions and still don’t have the faintest idea what the rules are.

Very simple really,if a opposition player comes near you you just whack him one, well I think that's the rule

Are you allowed to try to break opponent's ankles in Gaelic football?

I believe it's positively encouraged. But then the more sophisticated Irish lady or gent is after enjoying hurling instead.

Camogie for ladies, I believe.

A little bit of trivia is that the 4 official sports of the GAA are Gaelic football, hurling, Gaelic handball, and rounders. Camogie and ladies Gaelic football are governed by separate associations.

Theres an Aussie Rules team, the North London Lions, that play their home games on our local Rec. We've been along a few times to cheer them on, only I genuinely know what I'm supposed to be cheering.

You can see why these sports never really caught on
