Khan had this coming. This is boxing and a you always know that there is a younger hungrier man round the corner ready to take your place. Khan has been complacent and believed in his own celeb status too much. Time to retire I think.

It's too early to retire but it will take a lot to bounce back now.

Just seen the Khan fight, boxed really well for first two rounds but the chin as ever extremely suspect.

I stayed up to watch it last night I thought he did really well for two rounds but got caught again he just can't take a punch.  I don't know where he'll go from here it's a long way back.

Thing is because of his punching power there is a way back. his jaw is poor but with more experience maybe he'll learn.

There is a way back, but his last three fights have raised questions over his training camp for me. Firstly Freddie Roach doesn't appear to give him full attention, and also the tactics seemed off. He ends up standing and trading which doesn't suit him at all. His poor chin means he should always be on the move, and box like he did in the first two rounds last night. He needs a long look at what he's doing, as he does have a lot of talent.

I was shocked that Garcia won, and not taking anything away from Garcia because I think he's a talented fighter, but really it was one great punch.  That one punch (the first knock down) changed the entire match.  And I guess Khan should have been ready of it, but these things sometimes happen.  Khan was never able to regain his composure after that knockdown and it was all down hill from there.

If that punch hadn't happened, and the fight kept going how it had been, I think Khan wins it.  It wasn't Khan's fault in that he did something wrong, but it was a one huge punch kind of fight.

I think he did do something wrong, he was standing and trading when he got hit and he didn't need to be in that position.

Khan has never been as good as he thinks he is.Got the fight wrong from the start last night.Having a glass chin becomes more of problem the older you get.He is not world class and never as been.

I agree I have never been that impressed with him to be honest.  Khan got warnings from Garcia in the first two rounds but never learnt from it.  I just can't see where he will go from here.

I think there are aspects of his boxing that are world class and aspects that aren't. I think it's harsh to say he hasn't been world class, as he has been world champion. However his limitations mean he can't slug it out with people and in the last few fights he's been doing that.

I thought that he would have been smart enough to stay on the outside, he decided to trade and got caught.
He hasn't looked as polished in his last few fights and always seemed to be looking ahead to move up to 147lbs and the big money fights.

Yeah I agree I think his focus has been wrong, but I maintain that Freddie Roach doesn't look focused on Khan at all and I think something needs to change.

Until Khan sticks to using his speed and boxing ability, rather than getting getting into a tear up, he will never achieve what he wants to.

He can come back from it but its a long road from here.
