Played for Newcastle tonight in the cup, but did little second half.

Forgot ITV were showing the Milk Cup live, switched-over for the second half and kept a close eye on our JJ. He seemed to be both asking for the ball a lot and then not being in great positions to receive it. I did wonder if he was hiding a bit and lacking confidence but when he got more than a couple of touches, he seemed to come to life a bit. Albeit, there was nothing to hang your hat onto if you're a Barcode.

He was left on for the full 90 minutes though so you'd imagine Howe still sees him as fully getting up to speed. They're not going to write him off this soon with the outlay they've made on him. He's still well-capable of showing his talents with a run of games, unfortunately.

Yep.

Part of me wants him to do it, the other part, not.

Keinan Davis pulled out an absolute banger in the 95th minute to get Udinese a point against Lazio.

Deserves all the good fortune and good times in his mid-twenties that he didn't get in his early twenties.

That is good to hear, I always liked him. Indeed, there have been plenty of times the current squad looks as though it could do with a player we could play long to who can hold it up and let us get further up the field.

I saw a list a couple of weeks ago of the top scoring English players in europes top 5 leagues, and Keinan was on it. And he’s still scoring. Delighted for him. If he can stay fit, he’ll have an excellent career!

For centre-forwards, he's joint fourth (with Ollie) behind Kane, Wellbeck and Calvert-Lewin.

Joint seventh if you make it any position (Greenwood / Rogers / Foden)

Keinan for England! He could do the Heskey role.
