Their goalie certainly earned his crust, keeping them in it until Our Keinan applied the coup de grace.

Fucking Ben Mee...

Too right, that the c**t never even got banned for what was clearly a career-changing tackle that he didn't need to make still pisses me off.

...and it wasn't even a free-kick, according to the ref, Michael Oliver...

Saw something yesterday that Wesley developed an alcohol dependency following his injury problems.

I really feel for the big fella.

Career ruined by a useless shit-fuck clogger thug who didn't have a toes worth of Wesleys talent.

Saw something yesterday that Wesley developed an alcohol dependency following his injury problems.

Here are Wesleys own words on the matter;

Quote from: Wesley
It was very difficult for me because I was selected for the national team in November and then on January 1 I was injured.

I scored against Burnley as well. The defender went in, I’ve got a scar on my leg. He went in and I got hurt. But I didn’t think it would be serious. The next day, the doctor said I needed an operation. I did the tests, everything had to be operated on.

Mentally I was very shaken. My wife was with me. I was really shaken up. I went into drinking depression. I drank practically every day. I cried every day, practically for 20 days.

I think it was my wife and god. At the time I wasn’t Christian, today I am Christian.

My wife helped me a lot, she always talked to me, that I was going to turn it around because in this period it’s good to have someone with you. Players live under a lot of pressure. Not just playing football, but off the pitch as well. I’m practically the provider for my family and have to help everyone.

Sometimes people who are going to the stadium, they see us playing happy, scoring goals, other things. But they don’t know what is behind us."

He is another that I just want to give a big hug too. I really feel for him...

You're young with a tough upbringing. You've moved to the big league. You're getting international recognition. You're starting to feel settled. You've just scored.

Then Ben Mee cuts through your world.

I'm impressed he's a functioning human. I'd still be in pieces.

I wonder if there was an add-on for that in his transfer deal.

An azz-on? To be fair, me and BV could both get into the Ireland squad/team if we weren't so dedicated to H&V.

I turned down an invitation to join the squad because Stephen Kenny was the manager. Now waiting to see who they appoint next.
