Football Shirt Prices
« on: August 16, 2011, 10:50:09 AM »
On the topic of kit, I have recently posted a new article on my Blog which you can see on my sig. I wanted to know what fans think of the price of football shirts in the region given hard financial times at the moment. Any feedback would be great. FWIW i think kit is something that is important to fans as it is a way or representing your team and having an affinity to your club, something i think the claret shorts is causing a fuss over - same as black socks... its different. ON saturday a few people made points that the claret shorts did not look right. Is this really a cause for concern or is it Villa fans actually care about?

please see my sig for link on article

cheers guys

He's asked permission now Dave, so is OK.  Although I hope that every single post won't be promoting the blog.....

I have always brought the new Villa kit but with prices that they our asking for now makes it a little bit difficult to buy one I do wish they would lower there prices.

The claret shorts were just cos Fulham wore white....they usually wear black, so what the f**k was going on there I don't know....anybody? We'll be wearing white shorts on Sat.
IF I want to buy the shirt I tend to go to the club so they can have my money even tho' I know I can get it cheaper somewhere else and the club gets nothing. And it's usually for birthday/Christmas so kills 2 birds...

Kids football shirts are the best value clothing ever, ok they can cost a bit at first, but they wear them all the time, easy and quick to wash, easy to dry no ironing, and just as they grow out of them there's a new version comes out, what's not to like.

I wish for the day when it becomes unfashionable to wear a replica shirt.

I agree vastly over priced, fair enough the club needs to make money as they need to cover costs, but will the current prices drive fans away? When you consider printing numbers etc aswell, families may struggle to kit their kids out for example

I think looking around the clubs boards a lot of people feel like that to be honest too much money and i dont think everyone is a fan of their design, something im aiming at people to discuss on the blog with the whole modern v old era stuff
