Good shot, Stilyan!

At the risk of jinxing everything, we're defending well as a team, the two 'holding' midfielders are doing a good job in front of the back four. Delph is really getting around the pitch, too.

Very true, there's just this yawning chasm between them and the front areas. Heskey really is a waste of a starting place.

I agree with that - if we are going to use this system, then we might as well put Ireland as the attacking midfielder, and put Gabby out on the wing instead of Heskey.

Come on Villa, don't concede before half-time.

we've looked ok. Everything is being fed down the right to Charles which might get a bit predicatble if we don't figure out a way to very it up. Delph has been very good.

I've said it before, but Damien Duff really does have a slapable face.

I think we have been the better side, just need to be far more clinical. Get Makoun on to help the midfield tick.

Silly Gabby booking. Foul on Fulham player, then waves away ref.

FFS man.

defensively we've pretty much kept them to long range stuff, or at least kept a good perimeter around Given. They appear much more disciplined than last season, and it should get better as they play more.
