QPR away - 25th September
« on: August 02, 2011, 02:41:01 AM »
Hello,

London based Villan here.  If you know you may have a spare ticket or two for the QPR away game (away member, booking ref etc), please let me know, as I would love to make this game.

This season QPR have almost doubled ticket prices for their own fans (to match chelsea).  They are charging Bolton fans £45/£50 for the first home game.  Our game is a sunday 4pm ko, so probably on TV too!

Many thanks
Ian

Yes it is on TV. Therefore I'd have thought you'll be ok for a ticket as long as you have a booking history.

Guys, do you know when tickets for this one go on sale?  I had a quick look on the OS but couldn't see anything?!

I would be surprised if this one sells out tbh.  It's on a Sunday, it's on TV and it's a bloody rip-off for tickets.  I think you'll be fine as long as you have a booking history with the Villa, I've heard that a lot of people from a lot of clubs have said they plan to boycott QPR away because of the prices.

Not happy with the prices but it's one of the few top flight grounds I have never been to so have to go, Chelsea charge £50 and the scumbags have too so not too much difference.

Always loved QPR away, nice tight little ground.

Strong recommendation for the Upper Tier, you feel like you're almost on top of the pitch.

I was told upper tier had a restricted view of the near goal.
Any news on when tickets are available?

I was told by another Villa fan last Saturday that away teams only get the upper tier at QPR this season, and that its likely to be in the region of £50 (not sure how true that is though, or whether that price is for their Category A games).

It's like being in a full-sized Subbuteo ground.

If we smash up the floodlights will the game be abandoned?

Newcastle go there next and they've been lumped in the same category as us and are being charged £45, so expect to pay that.
