Christ.

It's a thread about a concert. I'm not massively impressed with the club myself recently, but jesus, how on earth does the fact there was a concert at the ground last night get you so wound up?

I feel sure the club are thinking  everything is going just right at the moment, i and many others don't, do you think everything is right at the moment then ?
I certainly don't think it's as grey and bleak as many are making out.  I'm also looking forward to the new season to see what transpires, I feel we will do better than last season, sorry if you find this a little too optimistic.

And would there be such a fuss if it had been a proper group, rather than a bunch of middle age blokes pretending that they're still a boyband ?

will Take That use the Villa Park PA system ?,  hope so, it is as shit as they are !

The answer is an emphatic 'NO' Dr Butler ................it was audible in Streetly last night-

Weird that I can't hear team news on matchday in L6 - must be my hearing aid or the beer !

Did any one on here attend the Bruce Springsteen concert in 1988 at VP?

I did.

That is at least two of us. Fantastic 4 hours from Brucie with only a 15 mins break in between.

A friend went last night and said the food was truly awful inside the ground. They stopped selling burgers as so many had been returned due to being virtually inedible and the hot dog they had instead was in their words the worst thing they have ever eaten.

I said she was lucky as I have to do that every home game!!

I know someone who went last nite and their friends were still in the leisure centre car park @ 12:30 am, the concert finished @ 22:30pm....There were no extra trains from New St to Witton/Aston and back again and there were thousands waiting for the trains that were running

I've been to big outdoor gigs all over the country and the situation is identical, after Springsteen at LCCC we walked into Manchester in order to get the Metro back out past the venue again to where we were staying. It took at least three hours to get off the very muddy car park at Alton Towers after seeing James in '92. If possible I stay over rather than try to get home to avoid all that aggro and Cardiff is perfect for this with the City Centre on the doorstep of the Stadium with loads of cheap-ish hotels.

And make that six as far as Springsteen at Villa Park is concerned.

Can not speak for the many others you mention but i tell it as it is. If we do something good i will applaud it and say so. At the moment my club dont seem to be getting much right .What is the point of this forum if someone is scared to make a comment because it might upset you. I will ask you a question, what gives you the right to be sarcastic to me just because i said something that annoyed you.

Be pissed off, be angry, post about how shite it all is, just do it on one of the hundreds of threads already devoted to the subject rather than on one of the few threads about something else.

Or just carry on being annoyed about everything, I don't really care to be honest.

She was looking for the aston social and rang me up
Her: does it have green across the top of it
Me: does it say aston social on it?
Her: yes

One of my big regrets is not seeing Bruce Springsteen at VP, and not knowing why I didn't.
