What news of Gary Mac and Sid and friends? Are we to see Nigel Spink, some Glaswegians & an ex oil worker on the bench in August?

Gary Mac just on SSN - interviewed at a golf day - sounded like he had been let go.
Would be disgusted if they get rid of Sid.

Nigel Spink is at Sunderland with Bruce, the SHA goalie coach is quite highly rated apparently, cant mind his name.

For me Sid and an attacking coach need to be on the first team coaching staff. Peter Grant, assistant to McLeish at their place was a defensive midfield player, Andy Watson I believe was a defender and Dave Watson, the keeping coach, was a superb young keeper at Barnsley until injury cut short his career.

Mercury running quotes from Sid that he is staying on as first team coach and that Peter Grant will come is as assistant. Hopefully Dave Watson will come too as keeper coach after his work with Hart and Foster.

Agree with that last part in particular. Whatever else his faults maybe (they may have been mentioned elsewhere), McLeish and his team seem to have a habit of establishing very good goalkeepers.

Who's the bald bloke who looked like he was McLeish's assistant at Blues? He looks like Uncle Fester.
