If he didn't get Blues relegated twice I don't think it'd seem as bad but I wouldn't exactly want him anyway. It probably wouldn't seem as bad though.

The two relegations just killed any sort of 'success' he had there. Lets put it bluntly, the Carling Cup was a fluke. Draw no-mark teams at home scraping past, get two teams below them in the league in the QF's and SF's at home and score the most unbelivable goal ever scored at Wembley in the 90'th minute.

Seriously, who the fuck appoints a manager who has relegated his team not only once... but twice!!

Wasn't it Leyton O in the 2nd rd where they had an injury time equalizer and then won on penalties? They just had a near perfect storm all the way on that cup run. It happens, being manager during that time doesn't make them a good manager, just a lucky one in half a dozen games.

However, relegating a club twice, failing to score more than a goal a game, building a squad that plays truly abysmal football mocked throughout the leagues is a decent indicator that the manager is a bit shit.

And if hes was looking like he had the potential to be the next Mourinho I wouldn't give a shit he managed them, i'd openly laugh in their faces that for the first ever when they had someone decent at their pox ridden club, he left them for us. But he's at best exceedingly average, and that's why I don't want him anywhere near B6.

After the dust has settled I have now warmed to the idea and I think he will do a really good job for us. Ninth in the league this season and it will be an easy fifth place finish for the next, silverware on its way to in my reckoning. I'm also looking forward to the exciting transfer deals and exciting scorelines of 3 or 4 nil.
