I have some very good friends who are season ticket holders at Blues and even after winning the cup this season they were not happy with him.  They said the football has been dire and cannot forgive him for the negative tactics, especially at home.

People say he has been working on a limited budget but he has had a fair amount for the last 18 months and generally wasted it.

Has he ever been involved as manager with a club that has been anything other than hard working.

If we are not realistically going to challenge for the top four, at least I want to see some decent football.

It's a massive NO from me.

Perhaps McLeish is a decent man who was unhappy that a convicted criminal was signed by his club over his head and he thought that his position was untenable.

I know I'm being an optimist (not a typical holte ender perspective so I'm a bit uncomfortable with it!) but I honestly don't believe that McLeish will be the next manager. Hughes or Moyes for me.

Please God let me be right!

Thats the first time anyone's been caught eating pussy in the Blues boardroom since Barry Fry walked in on Paul Peschisolido going down on Karren Brady.

Stop panicing everyone, it's not going to happen.

His leaving Blose will be more to do with transfer budgets, signing sexual offenders while letting others go than about joining us.

McCleish is not a bad Manager but he's not what we need and certainly not coming from them.

 i usually write on another villa web site but currently closed. However i have to register my protest at  Alex Mc Leish. Took blues down.. derided  by all other supporter clubs for his negative football. May  be  agood manager buy not what AVFC need at this time
 I would prefer Steve McClaren! Mark Hughes is the best of a bad bunch  so swallow your pride, do what's right for the club and appoint him. AVFC will never forgive  Big Eck joining...........rightly or wrongly.
 Still believe in Randy doing what he feels is best for the club.

OK, so I live too far away from VP to attend games - I think my last visit was 2003 - but I still support the club as much as I can in a number of ways:

I watch most of the matches on live TV, for which I pay a subscription.
I buy merchandise from time to time, and other folks buy me Villa-related gifts.
I follow events at the club on a daily basis, thanks to the internet (H&V, online newspapers, even radio5).

For me, this counts as being a supporter of the club.
