How the fuck do Sky know whether or not we've had 'productive' talks with McLeish?

Because McLeish is going to be be our new manager
Eh?

I asked how do Sky know if the talks were productive or not, did they wire up McLeish with a microphone so they could hear what was said?

They probably didn't even have any talks, its all signed and sealed and they're probably both in some fancy restaurant drinking £200 bottles of wine and laughing there heads off.
What I'm saying is it doesn't matter what Sky say ? We already know the outcome

Whats the general consensus on people attending next games next year?

Are people not going renew/ buy tickets?

How many will be there at our first home game? I reckon 20,700. (incl. Full away support)

What I find really surprising is that, having spent five years cultivating such excellent relations with the supporters, they've gone and do the one thing they could realistically do which would do more damage to those relations than anything else.

Looked at purely on the "what would it do to the relationship between club and fans" level, and ignoring the footballing rights or wrongs of it, a couple of weeks ago I would have banked my house on the club never thinking about making an appointment like this, so acutely aware have they been of the value of PR.

Could be the first step towards selling the club.
It feels like a real self inflicted sabotage.

It increasingly looks like that, doesn't it?

They might be naive in certain matters pertaining to football attitudes in this country, but they're not stupid.

There has to be a logical reason somewhere in selecting such a blatantly unpopular choice, happily ignoring his record, his affiliation to that lot and all the rest. Or perhaps they're not ignoring it. Maybe that's the deal clincher for them.

I still hope that common sense will prevail and this is all part of an elaborate show to cover negotiations for Moyes or Hughes.  Or maybe even Gary Mac.  The latter would have been viewed as a deeply unpopular choice a few weeks ago, but if he's announced as a Villa manager now -with the remit of carrying on GH's work - he'll be greeted like a returning hero.

What next - smash the ticket office and shop windows ? These people are making Aston villa look so ridiculous - the media are having a field day and will tar us all with the same brush- how very sad after all randy has done that people treat him so shabbily.

What IF AM was a target in September before GH? I am sure most of you would have backed his appointment back then. I hate the fickleness inherent in modern day football supporters.

I will support McCleish or whoever becomes our manager. And if McCleish is not good enough his fate is inevitable and we move on.

I think in hindsight, the club maybe should have let them onto the car park in the first place, it might have died down by now if they had.

Politics not your strong point Ant?

You think protesting Villa fans should be executed - what would you do to child murderers?

And no - I don't like the death penalty. Where shall I go?

IF and I sate IF they have broken the gates, then for me they lose the remaining credibility they had. You don't vandalise your own clubs property under ANY circumstances.

I would have felt exactly the same about him in Sept. And so would thousands of other Villa fans. He was shit then, but even more so now after getting the Blose relegated AGAIN!
I'll carry on supporting my team, not the manager. We all saw what O'Leary and McNeill did to our team/club. This looks to be going the same way only even before the new man's through the door. It's a non-sensical appointment and anyone who knows anythin about football, including noses, think it's a f***in stupid move by RL
