If this quote off Moyes is correct then this doesn't seem the words of a man who is adamant that he is staying at Everton,

"Everton boss David Moyes and Steve McClaren. Moyes,
fighting a battle to ward off Arsenal’s interest in defender Phil Jagielka and resigned to losing
Leighton Baines to Manchester City, said ast week: ‘I want to have a club, where I can give the supporters something. I really do."

Reads to me I'm off, but then I'm biased :-)

CA or Moyes would be fantastic.

So it could be one of Rafa, Carlo or David, well I will take anyone of those.

Frank Rikjaard according to the Sunday Times has let it be known he is available for the job.
Whether all these links are true or not I am liking very much the calibre of candidate as opposed to last years also rans.
If Randy picks Curbishley from the list I will not be renewing........

It's so' funny looking at all these informed journo pieces about who's on the cards. Just like last time, it's pretty damn obvious to me that nobody has the slightest idea who it's going to be!

But I'd be very happy indeed with ancelotti moyes or rafa, though as ever there are doubts with all 3:
- would Carlo hang around and is he actually suited to English football? I sometimes got the impression he was trying to change Chelsea to play a slower pace Italian style which I don't think would work with us.
- would moyes spend big bucks wisely and would he be prepared to be adventurous enough tactically?
- would we get the rafa who joined Liverpool or the freyed man who left?

Frank Rikjaard FFS if that gobshite takes over I'd be speechless. In fact I'd take Curbs over him - never forget the mouthful of phlegm he deposited over ailsa stewart in italia 90, lowest of the low.

It's Rafa for me now, although if it's Ancelotti I won't shed a tear but I just can't see this fella swapping Milan and West London for Four Oaks.

moyes, ancelotti or benitez. I could live with any of them. Either way those sort of candidates suggests Lerner is looking for the best and will back them with money.

Yes, it bodes well.

PPS
He said, in the present, what he was going to do under a particular set of circumstances. What he is , or might be, going to do is therefore a FACT. FACT.

Assuming PS is a reference to me, I was simply trying to say that I was sold in that I had talked myself into the appointment of Rafa.

Benitez - i'm in the 'unimpressed' camp i'm afraid. Would prefer Hughes and much prefer Moyes or Ancelotti.

I can't stand Benitez. I think he needs a longer break from the game too. Does anyone know much about his short stay at Inter?

I think at Inter,he tried to put his mark down too quickly and change things too soon, bit like G H here. He didn't get much help from the board over there though. He did have a hard task taking over from Jose, his ego probably wanted to prove something to the footballing world.

It's a mixture of how poorly he left that Liverpool squad, his madness and his disastrous spell at Inter that puts me off.
I think he could do with a few years off before returning.

According to the Mail on Sunday [I know, I know], MON's off to Fulham, Carlo's B6 bound and Hughes is off to Chelsea.
