For a change, there are some quality names out there. Hughes is the safest bet, Benitez could see us as a Valencia proposition, Ancelotti would do, Allardyce would be controversial but isnt as mad a choce as some suggest -and Aidy Boothroyd is still available..................................

I think Martitnez is a good shout, we need to do something different. The Guy exudes class. Bright intelligent is respected by every one that works with him, understands the game, has a good scouting network. Is young enough to build a long term strategy.

Does anyone know where you can get a bet on Flores for next Villa manager? Just a hunch.

If you ring up William Hill or Paddy Power, they'll usually give you a price on pretty much anything.

Gerard should stay, the ground work has been done over the past 8 months.  To start all over again will mean another wasted season.  Gerard will have far better developed contacts in football throughout Europe than any of the other candidates listed with the possible exception of Ancellotti who is probably on a par.

I am confident that players have been identified over the course of the last 8 months and that it is Gerard's intention to move on these over the summer.  The challenge is to clear the more stubborn deadwood such as Warnock and Beye, bring in the players on his hit list and blend in the cream of our youngsters.

Exactly.

It doesn't happen often, but I agree with you on this.

Mr Ancelloti with Mr Wilkins or David Moyes in that order. Martinez is certainly food for thought if both are unattainable.

Monsieur Houllier and Mcalistair must go regardless of health issues. They're two clowns who don't a fraction of the Villa in their hearts.

Ancelloti, if not then Hughes, then Moyes. Last resort stick with Houllier.

Bilic, (great motivator, team builder and tactician)
Jol, (Did great with Spudz)
Martinez, (class, positive, could build something for the future)
Poyet (thought Brighton were great when we played them in the FA cup and this season has only confirmed that - again would build something)
Ancelloti (winner)
