As toothless, sluggish and complacent as ever I've seen us this season. Piss-poor half of football, apart from Darren Bent's goal. He's been the difference between us staying up and being relegated this season, without a doubt.

Not when we're attacking, TV.

I'm guessing the Sturk fans were giving Bent stick?

Spot on. We have been clueless going forward.
Fantastic goal from DB.

WIth Jimbo on the analysis of that half.

2 great headers aside (Bents being the better one) , I can't think of any redeeming features.  Shite game so far.

As bad as we've been, Stoke are a truly awful team to watch. The sooner they are relegated the better. Although I know a couple of their fans are good lads, the one's that post on here.

Bent is a fucking legend and a totally ace signing.

We could be ninth at close of play today and god knows where we would be without Bent.

Agree, Jimbo. Stoke are well organised and a physically strong side who can play a bit. We continue to look nervous everytime we have the ball, our only threat comes from Luke Young and Walker on the wings. Ashley and Downing are like Paulie's description of Spurs - "all fart, no shit".

Petrov and NRC need to start contributing more. Petrov did it once but we need to have more of a plan than getting it out to Young and Downing. We could start by playing it on the deck as we're winning sweet FA in the air.

In fairness I thought Stoke played some decent stuff in their semi final.

Petrov, Walker, Downing and, because he did one thing that nobody else can do, Bent have stood out. The rest need to buck up a bit, though I don't think the system is working. The tactic worked last week but Sturk are so much better than West Ham in the air - and us, for that matter, at both ends of the pitch. Maybe Albrighton on to stretch the play a bit down the wing and give Ash more space would work better, because at the moment Heskey is looking like a waste of a name on the teamsheet today.

He usually is.
