Do Manx horses usually win by a short tail?

Arf!  It's the extra leg that gives the advantage.

A bloke I know works for Trevor Hemmings managing his estate in the north of the island, and he and his wife got flown over to Aintree in Trevor's helicopter.

I'd ban the "sport" tomorrow if I could. The only point in it, it seems to me, is purely for betting purposes. Surely there are other ways of gambling without killing horses unnecessarily. Flat racing I can just about tolerate, but the height of the fences in the National is a disgrace.
