1-1.  Hard fought point and finally a bit of spirit shown which will give us a bit of confidence going into Newcastle at home.  Pretty please??

We'll lose. But even if we'd won 6 on the bounce this would still be a game that we could lose. I don't think it'll be all that close either. Even if the scoreline is.

Unfortunately I cant see anything other than an Everton win. I think we will lose 2 or 3 nil.

Without slitting my wrists I am now thinking our only chance of staying up is others getting tonked each week, rather than us winning.

Wigan, WBA and either us  or Blackburn I reckon

The only hope is I dont think the others will win more than one game out of 8 either !

They will have lots of chances or half-chances first half, you just know it, they'll kick out of the blocks quicker, and inevitably be a threat from set pieces. The issue will be whether or not we can cope and grow into the game as it goes on. Gun to my head, I think we'll lose this, but then beat Newcastle, barring massive injury/suspension developments (touch wood).

Gary Mac says we're all friends. (radio 5 tonight)...
Actually I think it's all down to the selection.

Yes I know it always is but if le gaffeur goes for downing, NRC, A young, albrighton, bent and agbonlahor I don't think we'll be struggling...

but then what do I know

2-1 Everton, We'll go 1 up early on through Bent, they'll equalise just before half time from a corner, most probably through Cahill, we'll have chances galore in the second half, hit the post and then they'll get the winner in injury time

this sounds like a familiar script. i'll go with this.

Everton are quite simply a better team, the Wolves game showed that we have no fight in us and to win the game we would need to score a MINIMUM of 2 goals.
It ain't gonna happen

3-0 to Everton.
