He's 34 in a couple of months, you know you are old when players you remember as promising youngsters are in the twilight of their career or retiring.

I still remember when we thought he was the future of the club and the stick Brian got for not playing him sooner. Wasn't it him who had the "Players who will get a game for the Villa before he does" thing in H&V?

Gulp. I remember being eight in 1994 and thinking he was just a few years older than me!! I'm 25 this year by which stage his villa career was petering out. Such a waste. He was always 'promising, young Lee Hendrie' but it never quite happened.
