Great day but I must admit I felt the 94 win was more special as we were huge underdogs against manure.

15 years ago, fuck that makes me feel old!
I always remember that most Leeds fans I met really didn't think they had a chance, whereas in 94 although we were underdogs we seemed to have think that while we were underdogs, we had a decent chance of winning.
Singing the Dwight Yorke song as we celebrated it really felt the whole club was one. Really thought it was the start of something special for us, and that the only threat was Brian being nicked for the England job. instead less than 2 years later Brian had gone and his managerial career was as good as over at the top level and we have won smeg all since.

Missed Savo's goal because I was having a wee then we got moved to within yards of the Royal box because we persistantly stood as we had a stantion in our way.

I remember watching that game live at the ime, I was about 12. For some reason Irish television was able to show Cup Final games live back then. Can't believe it's fifteen years since our last trophy...we were tipped as title challengers for the following season. What happened?!

Fantastic day. Left home feeling confident. Leeds were rubbish that year and we made sure they were rubbish on the day. Sat behind the goal. Nigel Spink sat two rows behind us. Watching from the far end as soon as ball left Savo's feet I knew it was in as we were right in line.
Thank you Brian.

That was the only time I've ever known Villa treat the big occasion as though we belonged there rather than we were gatecrashers.

I just assumed we would go on to dominate football for the next thirty years after watching that.

Sat behind the goal so miles away from other end. Could see the no 9, saw the shot hit, didn't see it go in but the bedlam around me confirmed it had. I'm sure I ended up a couple of rows in front of where I should have been, not easy in an all seater, even when the "seats" were those crappy lumps of plastic. It's been downhill ever since at Wembley, even the Bolton semi was a damp squib. 95/96, my favourite year
