Who is Gareth Andrews then? Never heard of him, fantastic knock on Friday though.

Incidentally that was my first visit to Edgbaston. I must say... I wasn't hugely impressed. Not the most picturesque of grounds on the inside, just a mass of grey concrete, hopefully this was because half the stands weren't open and the weather was atrocious. Also, queuing for a pint took about 10 overs. Worse than Villa Park!

Just back from the Bears game.............outclassed and outplayed I am afraid, Carters place has to be under threat and I think we need to be playing 2 spinners :-(

Our bowling has been gash for nearly a decade.

Good day for the Bears bowling Somerset out for 262 and then closing on 86 for none

Also a good day for the Pears: one more Hants wicket tomorrow morning, then we'll need just over 100 for victory.

Glad to see us get a break from the dismal Twenty20 campaign. We have been utter shite since the H&V day out. Sorry everybody!

gareth andrew was released by somerset 3 years ago & signed for worcs.
think he was mainly a bowler but worcs turned him into an allrounder as there batting line up is quite poor, his bowlings got worse.
hes just abit of a whacker in t20 & uses one of those mongoose bats, some days it pays off like friday.

My God, if you're in the Edgbaston area get yourselves over to the ground where you could be about to witness something you'll be telling your kids about in years to come.

Don't jinx the scorecard!
