My first ever trip to this event yesterday. I really enjoyed it. Great weather, great atmosphere, great craic and it wasn't too packed. I have never scrutinized details about horses before to such an extent and I don't know why I did as I hadn't a clue what I was looking for. I opted to go with "expert opinions" for the first few races...no joy at all. I then went for the more fruitful decision to put each way bets on jockeys in claret and blue. The day gave me a loss of £70, I was expecting far worse.I will go again next year.
