The finances cannot be disoputed.
Whether or not we NEEDED to rest all those players, as in they could have played and still been OK for Saturday, is another matter!

Gareth Southgate has "lashed out" at GH in the same French magazine that that bald prick gave his interview. He thought is was a shame GH put out a weakened side.

Southgate was probably misquoted. What he no doubt said was " I'm delighted to have secured tickets for the Take That concert in Manchester for myself and the family. That Stephen Ireland is a proper tosser is he not?".
