what a fucking day!!!

best day in british sporting history, anyone who's bitched about us hosting the olympics needs to just be quiet now, the number of fantastic role models who've come to fore of british sport here is amazing.

6 golds, a silver, 2 guaranteed medals in the tennis (wonder what odds you'd have got at the bookies on that particular bet), ed clancy looking good in the omnium... and still a fair few good chances at more medals to come (not least Jess following up gold with something in the individual hurdles and mo doubling up in the 5k).

I'm enjoying the proper sports. I just wish that there weren't all the non-sports such as the horsey stuff, diving etc getting in the way
