We're getting weaker by the day. Need some quality signings and fast. We've seen how slow the board are getting things done with transfers. Just take a look at Given for example.

If we're at August with no new signings, I don't see how the board will sign anyone on time. I think it's something to do with Paul Faulkner and his lack of football experience. He seems like a right pain.

Other clubs are still strengthening. We on the other hand are now looking to sell Cuellar and yep...We still haven't bought anyone and seem to be getting further away than closer of buying N'Zogbia.

So if we were linked with Messi would that mean we're getting stronger by the day?
Or does the smiley face thing mean you're joking? Sorry if I missed the sarcasm.

This could be a Robbie Keane re- take. When Doug would not pay the extra 500,000 and we end up chasing him for double the money for years and years ........

rubbish- it was gregory who pulled out of the deal not doug!

Ok when JG pulled out the deal and we ended up chasing him for double the money for years and years. The point was. Just pay them the extra money so that situation does not happen again ............

It's true. We are actually weaker now than we were this time last season. I don't see what the argument against that is? We need to bring in at least another couple of quality players, left winger and defensive midfielder.

I don't give a toss whether we sign N'Zogbia or not to be honest, he's certainly not the world beater that we all think he is anyway, he plays for Wigan
and no one else is interested apparently, some catch he is.

The only exciting thing about the new season for me is the fact we are going to have to play some very good youngsters, and that for me is worth turning up for, far more interesting than watching a load more mercenary overpaid players that think they are doing us a favour, most of which turn out to be top quality toss baskets.

If we don't make another signing, so what, send on the kids and believe

I love your attitude. I'm determined to make you as pessimistic as the rest of us, so i'm going to highlight the fact that if Albrighton, Clark and Delph turn out to be quality next season they will join Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool for a combined £50m and we will pocket the money and not buy anyone to replace them either.

Based on recent sales I'd suggest the Downing fee is the abdominally

Other clubs are still strengthening.
So, who has actually made signings so far? - ManUre, Sunderland, L''The Mighty Reds YNWA'. Fulham have signed J A-Riise. Newcastle have signed a couple. Norwich have taken Naughton on loan.
I don't think we're behind the curve in terms of signings ... the market needs to really get going, which it will do after the current round of pre-season tournies.
We do need to 'up' the number of experienced, battle-hardened players in the squad and we have lost 2 key  supply-players in AY and SD but the squad is reasonably strong, with the youngsters one year older / more experienced and McMinge having a 'full pack' of experienced players to draw from.
Some of the negativity on here is just tedious; we are where we are - live with it.
