Emanuelson moved to AC Milan in January.
Didn't realise that Rob Green was on a free in the summer, not his biggest fan but might be worth a risk for just wages?!

I think there's a decent footballer in there, he holds the ball up well and brings other's into play, although this season's not been his best.

Spain: M Diarra (Real Madrid), Dragutinovic, D Navarro (not really heard of any of the others)

Italy: Appiah, Suazo,

France: Taiwo, Douchez,

Germany: Altintop, Castelen, Trochowski, Rakitic,

Holland: Emanuelson,

Of that list, I'm most tempted by Emanuelson, Taiwo, Trochowski, Elmander.

Elmander - upgrade on Heskey, but there is a lot better out there
Larsson - Other than his set plays I think he is a very average player
Owen - Dear God no
Faye - 32 and can't get into the Stoke side
Mensah - Injury Prone
Robert Green - contract expires in 2012
Seamus Coleman - contract expires in 2014
M Diarra - signed for Monaco in January
Dragutinovic - will be 36 in November
D Navarro contract expires in 2012
Appiah - Is 30 in the same way that Martins is 26
Suazo - Says he is joining Benfica in the Summer and is 32 in November
Taiwo - Apparently agreed a deal with AC Milan
Douchez - 30 which isn't bad for a 'Keeper, linked with us and Liverpool. Never seen him play though.
Altintop - Linked with moves to Turkey, from little I've seen on the TV seems a decent enough player
Castelen - Plays for Hamburg and contract is up in summer. Never heard of him before though (although has played for Netherlands). Right Winger.
Trochowski - Agreed to join Sevilla
Rakitic - signed for Sevilla in January
Emanuelson - signed for AC Milan in January

Maz, I'd say that 90% of the time you and I are on the same page of players we'd like Villa to sign. However I'm going to have to whole heartedly disagree with you about Bendtner. He truly is average at very best and if wasn't already an Arsenal player would be at someone like Blackburn now.

If being better than Heskey was the criteria in signing a striker we'd have a hell of a lot of average players to choose from.
