According to the General it was. He was the manager when the deal was struck wasn't he? I'm pretty sure this has been discussed a hundred times anyway.

now you've done it. Ireland was never wanted by MON,he was forced to agree to sign him, just as Davies was a practical joke on Lerner that went wrong, Heskey was Faulkner mis-reading MON's spelling of Bent. In fact all his shite buys weren't his fault....
