I find Carlton Cole marginally a poor man's version of Bendtner. They both get a lot of chances, Bendtner just puts more of them away, but not by much. They both score once in every four games they play, and you could make a solid argument that Bendtner has had a much better support system than Cole has ever had. Bendtner's younger so if he applied himself he can get better. Cole won't get any better which is why he's on his way to Stoke.

The big thing with Bendtner is that he thinks in his head he's made it. He hasn't by a long, long way.

I would rather a gibbon than almunia.Genuinely poor keeper and Bendtner managed to look ordinary in an Arsenal team that dominated and created plenty of chances so a big no for both.

Nowt wrong with Gibbons.

However many medicore FAPL rejects we sign to a budget, it could still go OK, but if Bent gets injured.......

Man city's Garry cook announces an incredible £400m sponsorship deal with etihad which includes naming the stadium , creating the etihad campus on land next to the ground and shirt sponsorship- biggest sponsorship deal in sporting history dwarfing even American sport and putting city well in the clear when new financial rules take affect.

I think Bendtner will go to someone like Bolton and score quite a few goals. I wouldnt be overly upset if we signed him as a squad player, but I imagine he would expect to be our number 1 striker and with Benty around that wont happen.

I dont think we really need to be in the market for a striker. We have Bent, Gabby, Heskey and Fonz. If I expected us to be playing with 2 up front for the season I would want another goalscorer, but I dont and can see a front 3 with Bent as the spearhead being supported by Gabby, Albrighton, Downing (dont think hell go) and other signings. If there are games/times in games when we need the big lump up front we have Heskey. I'm no massive fan, but as big lumps of centre forwards go, he has his uses and I dont think we should be wasting money on this area when our midfield is the area that needs the attention.

For me Ireland plays best in a 4-3-3, so if we could get something like this I'd be very happy.

---------------------Given-------------------
---Hutton---Cuellar---Dunne---Clark---
---------------------Parker------------------
-----------Makoun---------Delph----------
---Ireland----------------------N'Zogbia---
---------------------Bent---------------------

yes please

I can  see that  but only if McLeish wins the League in the next season. We can go wit Big Mac or McVilla park  grab the money and ignore the  burgers!

I think Bendtner is a very good player and I believe he would be a great signing for us; a more mobile, skilful, goalscoring Heskey, if you like.

Of course, I also fit that description myself...
So does my grandma!

Why do we need another right back?
