Somewhat predictable, though, isn't it? That pillock Liddle mentioned Bent as the buy of the season today in his Sunday Times column. It will not have escaped others that Bent kept on scoring whilst Torres and Carroll underwhelmed (admitedly the latter had fitness problems).
As said consistently on several threads here, RL has to get things sorted quickly and enable GHou / the new manager to establish some stability within the club. This probably means offloading AY quickly and bringing in some valued new players.

People who say Man United are average sound very bitter, they have just won the most competitive league in the world and won 18 of there 19 home games. They have two players who scored over 20 goals and would have had 3 if Rooney had been 100% all season.

Well Im saying they are an average team not a patch on teams they have had in the past, they won an average league with teams like Chelsea and arsenal not performing consistently, Man city resorting to boring Italian style football, spurs being distracted by the champions league and Liverpool in a mess until Dalglish sorting it out.
I personally wouldnt want any of their midfielders none of them are good enough for us never mind united and yes Barca would have beat anyone last night but they humiliated united and the premier league

Coopers Injury is banned for being a troll. He came back temporarily under the username WikiVilla before getting booted off again.

I feel dirty now as I may have praised one of WV's posts.....going to wash my hands

McGregor I can see happening but I reckon Adam will end up @ a top 4 club or Liverpool/Spurs

In my opinion Adam is too slow and defensively suspect for a true top 4 side.  He is one of those guys that needs the team to be structured around him and I do not think that he is a good enough player for a Man U (or whoever) to sacrifice their other players.

Maybe Adam could work well for villa in the centre of the three in a 4-2-3-1.

Adam would do really well in that 4-3-3 formation. McGregor - not a clue what he is like. I would like Al Habsi or Foster between the sticks.

I could go with that ozzjim.  I just don't think I could trust him in the centre of a 442 or even 4411.

God no. But would give us creativity and a replacement for Ash on set plays, which in the modern game is fairly important.

Mcgregor's just let in a right dodgy goal against Scotland. Not even in my top 10 choices. I'd rather have rob green and that's saying something

McGregor's normally decent but has been pretty poor in this tournament. Maybe he is distracted by the transfer speculation. I'm not convinced with Adam. I think he is a pretty selfish player always looking to play Hollywood passes or shoot from ridiculous areas in the hope one will come off and look good on a highlight reel. Plus he would block The Scottish Xavi's development.

I can't help but think that for the money Adam will go for (I'd guess around £7.5m) we could get a lot better player for that amount on the continent.

This is not an average league it is the most competitive,

Rooney wasn't 100% for half the season and Valencia has been out most the season.

Id take every single player of there's last night over ours, they are superior in every position, that's just my honest opinion.

Then the likes of Anderson, smalling, rafeal, nani, Scholes and Berbatov would walk into our team.
