Can't see us paying the wages of that calibre of loan player

Hold on everyone, the most pressing need is for an experienced central holding midfielder,  not a creative midfielder or a striker.

My bad ! I just see macheda as a goal getter. Soz didnt know stats. I know last year in italy at samp he was getting game time till they got woried about relegation and changed coach. Then the experienced players were trusted and macheda didnt get much of a look in. I think he would do well in epl with villa and score goals. The way he scored against us that time was very good.

I stand corrected dave , caught the back end of the posts regarding bent and was zilched- I would hope that at least 2 or 3 new faces arrive or we could be in real trouble should we hit another injury crisis like last season.

I think we're okie for kinda holding role the 2 in the 4-2-3-1
clark petrov delph can play there
creativly we only have nzogbia and bannan unless we keep ireland who looks on his way.

I don't understand why people keep talking about strikers, if we're going to bring players in, I can't see McLeish opting for a forward on the basis of the limited funds available and our pressing need in the middle of the park, coupled to the fact I think we're still needing cover at the back.

And as 'goal machines' go, we've got a great one in Darren Bent, we've just got to figure out how to get the ball to him!

Responding to yourself or just having a one man conversation?

Who was it on OT a couple of years back who had a whole thread of conversations in his own head.

Well i get impression ireland isnt being fancied by alex mac which is a bit unfair but maybe theres a swap deal or something in offing that would be cool.

Ipswich, a swap deal for Jimmy Bullard.

So Ireland is off in your head? Not in the real life world?

Onhura would be a much cheaper option than Hutton. Better player too in my opinion
