I recon:

I think the team I would go for (considering Man U Tuesday) would be:

Brad Snr

Walker - Dunne - Clark - Baker

Herd - Petrov - Delph

Albrighton - Heskey - Bannan

Subs
Parish
Delfouneso
Cuellar
Pires
Agbonlahor
A Young
Eric Lichaj

Rest
Collins
Downing

Not a bad shout.

3-1 Villa win, I am strangely, perhaps worringly, confident.

I'm quite sure Makoun will play to help him blend in, and Gabby will want to play seeing as he scored.

I'll go for:

FRIEDEL
WALKER
BAKER
CLARK
CUELLAR
MAKOUN
PETROV
ALBRIGHTON
DOWNING
FONZ
GABBY

SUBS:

HESKEY
ASH
DELPH
COLLINS
NRC
HERD
BANNAN

3-1 TO VILLA

Think Blackburn have a toughness about them that will make them difficult to beat so a draw for me. Two weeks ago I would have backed Blackburn.

Bizzarely I quite fancy us to sneak it at the replay at Ewood - that would make up for that lame 2-0 defeat last year.

Still though while we're not completely safe of the danger zone (another 6 points in the next 4 games and I will relax) I would rather not be in this competition.

Madness!  Do you think we can re-enter later on, if we decide we're safe in the league?

On balance, I'd like us to win the FA cup

I'll go for a nervy 3-1, with gabby completing his hat-trick in the 90th minute

I hope Delfouneso starts, he looked quality against city, we need to build his confidence and then keep it up!

...............Brad

Walker Cuellar Clark Warnock

......Makoun Herd  NRC

.... Gabby  Heskey  Fonz

Warnock because we are paying him alot of money, Herd I keep hearing he will start, Makoun, Fonz and Gabby need confidence.

Collins, Dunne and Petrov need a rest

Ash, Marc and Downing I'd keep fresh for Man U

We actually have some decent options now in the squad.

Keeper - only Friedel - at least Guzan is getting experience at Hull

Right back - Walker, Young (been good I reckon this season generally), Beye (was good in both games he started), Lichaj (one good game one shit one probably best loan him out) and Cuellar for away games like Man Utd

Centre Half - Dunne, Collins, Cuellar, Clark

Left Back - Clark, Baker (good debut against Nzogbia), Warnock (though I suspect a deadline day move to Anfield)

Centre Midfield - Reo Coker (needed for Old Trafford not the Cup game), Petrov (play in Cup game certainly not 90 mins in Old Trafford), Makoun (Reo Coker's replacement Id start against Blackburn), Delph (is he fit? Id only bring him back gradually), Bannan (an option for tomorrow or in a 3 man midfield at home against poor opposition), Hogg (did alright for us and will get good experience at Pompey), Herd (not good enough)

Wings - Albrighton, Young, Downing, Gabby (only in games like Man Utd), Ireland (really think we should give him one last chance, too good of a footballer to give up on), Pires (Id pay off the rest of his deal to leave)

Up front - Gabby, Heskey, Bent, Fonz (great cameo against Bham maybe consider for loan)

With the choice to move from 433 to 442. Before the start of next season I reckon L Young, Beye, Warnock, Reo Coker, Petrov, Pires, Ireland (probably) and even Heskey will move on. With Lichaj, Baker, Fonz maybe going on loan. Will be interesting anyway.

For tomorrow, its imperative we have players comfortable on the ball at full back. Definitely Id rest Clark, Reo Coker either Dunne or Collins and Downing ahead of the game next week but this cup game is still winnable.

Friedel
Walker, Cuellar, Dunne, Baker (since Warnock seems off)
Makoun,
Petrov, Bannan
Ireland, Gabby, Young

Strong as we can, please. A cup run would lift the place. A cup win and it'll be Houllier tattoos all round.

Why's this a 1pm kick off? Can't see it advertised for TV anywhere!

The Noses Cov game is at 3.00.

Should mean a better chance of finding a stream then.
Before anyone asks I'm at work so cant get to the game.

Presumably, absence of Villa game on p2p site and telecast details on FA Cup site indicates the game won't be televised and thus streamed.

Is that right?
