Glad MON didn't get this money.

It would have gone on the wages of Marcus Bent.

Just posted this about Bent on the transfer thread then saw this one, so thought I'd repost here

A couple of years ago now I got into an argument on here about Bent. I said I thought that, while a great finisher, he didn't have enough in his game to make it at the top level. Since then, however, Bent has improved immeasurably, to the extent he can play as a lone striker in an attacking set-up (as opposed to the counter-attacking lone striker role he filled at Charlton). Besides, we know how GH wants us to play, so I'll trust his judgement on Bent's qualities for now. To be honest, even if he was just the finisher of old that would be enough to keep us up, and anyway he's more than that now so fine.

Sky News has just said Steve Bruce has turned down the transfer request.

Typical of Potato head

This is killing you isn't it. You can't hide your envy and you are praying it all falls through. You're better off not posting mate.

Sheldon nose and Sheldon villa

hmmm, your not the Harry potter twins are ya?

Haven't got a clue what you are on about.

just a joke, the ginger twins off harry potter(not actually ginger) are from the midlands and one is a bluenose and one a villa fan.

they were on Soccer Am on saturday.

Generally I respect Collymore's opinion but it's his job to wind people up & get them to phone in etc....

Excited about this transfer, assuming it goes through, we haven't had a proper goalscorer since Yorke. It's a lot of money & there's never a guarantee but Bent has always scored goals & hopefully he will continue to score goals.

Anyway what's the price if we fail to score goals over the next few months like we have so far this season?

Fair play to GH for taking action on the areas of the team where it's needed & RL for supporting him.

I've seen dave woodhall give opinions on midlands today in the past at villa park but that woman was utterly ridiculous , saying houllier and bent are panic measures and kenny miller is the man we need and moaning about everything- come back dave, you are the man!

I dont understand why he's getting so uptight about it. Where did he get his crystal ball from, the one which told him Randy won't fund future signings.

He does have a point IMO, just not putting it across well .

as much as we need a goal scorer, we've shipped nearly a 100 goals in the last 12 months which is something else that needs looking at , which might be what he's trying to say .

Bent may not be able to trap a bag of cement but he knows where the back of the net is. He's what we need now. The only issue will be giving him the right service.

I like Collymore, i'm listening now and i can see what he's trying to say. He wants to see us bring in others as well as Bent and i can understand that and he has a point. Charlie Adam and a left back and it will have been a good window.

Hey sheldon I see robbie keanes blown you out as has kenny miller- how broken must you be seeing villa bid £18m on one player-see you next season mate, oh sorry you won't stay up I just remembered!
blues have drew a line under it and move on...dont worry mate downing or young will be going out the other way to balance the books.......any way ive got bigger fish to fry sorting out my wembley ticket...
It's just been confirmed what we all think of you... you've been trying to be as good as possible but you just couldn't help it this time and your post confirms it. Bitter to the bone.

See the difference between us and you? We're signing a very good striker despite being down in the bottom, on the flip side of the coin Kenny fucking Miller doesn't even want to touch small heath with a barge pole HAHAHAHAHAHA. Small time small heath.

Collymore,  'dont put all your eggs in one basket, use the same amount of money to buy maybe 3 players not just one'

we have been doing that stan for the last 10 years or more, thats why we got a clogged up dressing room on massive wages
