This would be catastrophic for GH if he gets snubbed by Makoun. On top of Bridge deciding to go to the Hammers you have to ask what is putting players off. Is it money (most likely) or is it when they meet GH?

TO be fair to both Houllier and Makoun, January is not the best time to buy players/move clubs anyway. Its no coincidence that the vast majority of transfers are made in the Summer.

It is a huge blow for him to lose out on his top midfield target though isn't it.

Well judging by the performances of some of the players who already play for him, he probably couldn't motivate Barry Austin to have a biscuit.

Having read the whole of that article in "Lyon Capitale", it appears that Lyon could really do with €8m in the bank but Claude Puel is worried that his system will be unbalanced if he sells him. Meanwhile, Houllier is said to have given J2M a deadline of this evening to make up his mind. However, J2 appears to think that it's too risky coming to a club which is languishing in the relegation zone. AND WHOSE FUCKING FAULT IS THAT?

While I disagree with the sentiment in its entirety, the analogy is brilliant Percy.

FUUUUUU

We really need to get some players in, I know it's only been 2 weeks but it's 2 weeks of no signings and our main target won't join us now. Hope we're still able to get a defenfer, midfielder and striker... now is not the time to be complacent in the transfer window. I know it's the January transfer window but in the position we're in we need the players in.

Lets hope we can sign Adam now...
