oh yeh, the kids from Fame
Don't think we're particularly worse than many of the other supposed big clubs when it comes to home atmosphere TBH.
Most of them only sing when they're winning and we haven't been doing much of that this season.
For clubs like Blackpool and even Stoke, it's still an adventure for them. The novelty hasn't worn off.
There were only three of us telling Harry I shall never get in Madame Toussauds waxworks because they will think my face is melting Redknapp that he should be in jail. That's how bad it was.
I understand that we ain't got much 2 shout About but at the game yest it seemed the fans didn't try and lift the players I was a season ticket holder in holte for 7 years and I'm a steward in the away section now and every set of fans that come take the piss bout how quiet fans are
spurs fans certainly weren't taking the piss on sunday. never heard a quieter set of fans at villa park when leading throughout..
Lack of goals and there is no one to make us stand up with excitement in the middle.
I'm normally in Holte Upper but was in trinity for spurs, inflicting his second game on my nephew (Arsenal was his first, poor lad) and from where I was the SPurs fans were singing for most of the game. Only heard the Holte a couple of times but then again there isn't much to shout about at the moment.
It was very quiet against Spurs. Even when we pulled one back with 9 minutes left people were leaving in droves and not bothering to urge us on to an equaliser.
There is an awful sense of doom and gloom around the place. The players need to come out all guns blazing trying to get the fans onside in the first ten minutes of games.
We have been quiet of late, but i think we need to roar the team on get behind them so they can see we are all together that makes a big difference.
The reason it's quiet is because we are sick of watching over paid prima donas put a half hearted shift in and collect £1000s each week. The fans may have pride and passion but that soon wears off along with our patience.
I have had enough of late like many others. Football can shove it.
Lots of good explanations why we are so quiet but I think it also has something to do with the type of support we attract nowadays. We have a lot of middle class and transient support who between them show less passion for the club and the game as those of us who come from working class places like kingstanding and erdington. Lots of families and kids from those neighbourhoods simply cant afford to go the game on a regular basis and each year our support from these areas that used to be the holte ends lifeblood is drifting away. The noise in the ground has diminished at the same rate in my opinion.
