I'd much rather M'ON was still here, but taking him back is very different, wouldn't be appalled by it however.

From someone who passionately supported him-NO WAY. Regardless of reason for leaving in he dropped us right in it. I will never forgive him.

hell no...

but i would string him along so that he had to apologise publicly for his appalling behaviour, and grovel for the job back...

and then tell him via the press to do one...

no way - i would have sacked him before he resigned in any case!

Why? For finishing 6th, and reaching a Cup Final and a semi Final?

I'm glad your not our chairman.

It all depends why MON left and if he is the one who should apologise (as opposed to Randy & co)

Regardless of this, it would be a NO from me.  MON had run out of ideas and lacked the flexibility and imagination to take us any further.  While I have reservations about Houllier at least there is a chance he can take us to the next level.

Obviously can't go back and can't see that either side would ever want to.

But I just want to wake up in the holiday flat in Bulgaria without a text from my brother telling me that O'Neill had resigned and Milner definitely leaving.

NO WAY JOSE!!!!! I want to see what Houllier can do with a fully fit team/squad. Something which we haven't seen yet if my memory serves me correct?

reason id have sacked him clampy is i did not think he was capable of taking the club any further - not saying he did a shit job but he had taken us as far as he could in my opinion - it was time to part company.

martin did a decent job for us given the amount he spent , but by no means was he a great manager!

Congratulations though to Mr Woo for producing the most one-sided negative response to a thread since someone came out with "Steve Hodge, was he just misunderstood?"

Very good.

I must admit to being a little surprised at the landslide, when the question was originally posed it was more a 60/40 'no'.

But then again, immediately after a poor result you may get a false swing. Oo-er missus.

By the way, hello Mr Woo, I prefer to be a bit more informal and not use titles!

Sorry about that mate, its a user name I've used on other non-Villa related forums for years.

No intention to nick yours.     ;-)
