Is this midfield too lightweight?

Friedel
Young Cuellar Collins Warnock
Hogg Bannan
Young Ireland Downing
Gabby

Then we could switch to 4-4-2 with Heskey or Delfouneso on the bench.

I'd rather not rush NRC back, despite the shit we're in, we did that with Albrighton against Liverpool and he was clearly unfit.

Exactly

I still think gabby was rushed back

And it never works does it US?
They either break down or perform poorly due to not being up to speed.
We've seen it time and time again.

I mean Albrighton hasnt played for 3 odd weeks has had an operation then he's straight back in the team
so you know he's going to be off the pace

Im surprised petrov hasnt been playing on crutches

Albrighton is a fresh young player and was out for less than a fortnight I think and only played 70 mins so it wasn't too bad.

Less than a fortnight are you sure?

So Albrighton wasn't taken sick before the Blackburn Game on the 21st?

The point being that players are being rushed back when not fully fit and thats when they will pick up further knocks - case in point Gabby

hardly injured for 4 seasons and now struggling, probably trying too hard and putting his body under more strain

With Young, Albrighton, Bannan and Carlos all back, I reckon we'll do them 3-0.

The one thing the injuries have done is given options when players are back to be able to play people in the best form I guess. Good news that Sidwell is back too.

I want us to play 4-4-2 against Albion but fear for us if the 2 in the centre mid are Hogg and Bannan, as there is just not enough bite. If Reo Coker is fit then fine.

Is Beye fit enough to start? If so he should have a run at right back whatever we do with Luke Young.

This and the next game ( wigan away ) is a bit make or break game for Houiller and for Villa if they want to go up the table.. So must wins for villa, if not i fear for the frenchie. He's got some excuses but i dont think he gets the team on track ( look at collins / dunne ... f. e. ). We'll see eh?

I would drop Warnock and Dunne tomorrow as they have become liabilities. I'd go with Lichaj and Young at full back, and bring back Cuellar. We're not good enough yet to score 3 or 4 so we have to keep it tight first and foremost. It must be shit for our attacking players knowing disaster is only around the corner each the ball goes into our box, so instilling just a little more confidence into them from that perspective will do wonders.

I'm going Saturday. I've been 3 times this season and we haven't conceded a goal.

3-0 Villa.

Alot of players coming back to full fitness now and its starting to look good again. So positive thinking wanted please! Still think it will be 2-1 to us though, always is edgy against Tesco's.
