Platini voted for Qatar.



Beckenbauer backed the Qatari bid too.

Backenbauer and Platini are UEFA. Only Germany and France together can  amke decisions that may influence FIFA decisions.

I presume we did the decent thing and backed USA. Meanwhile, the US delegate promised to vote for us and then didnt.

I suspect Platini and Beckenbaur may just have voted for the country that suits their timezone. This will increase the number of people watching and increase the amount of money they can make out of it.

In Switzerland non profit organisations such as FIFA cannot be tried under anti-corruption laws!!
