On a positive note, There are seven players out that could have improved it tonight, Young, Heskey, Reo, Petrov, Cuellar, Delph and Bannan. The worrying thing is though it would still leave Warnock and one from Dunne and Collins playing. We need to buy two new defenders.

Did you know that ancient Pyramids in Egypt have moved 3 miles since they were built? Plate tectonics apparently!

So why can't Dunne move 3yds without stopping for a rest?

Had hopes of in and around 6th at the start of the season.

The way this league has gone so far a half decent side should look to target that and beyond, it's been so open.

But I haven't been felt this low in following Villa for a while, prob since Venglos or GT second time around. Even under DOL when we had a slow start defensively we looked OK. We just lacked a bit of invention -which Solano provided in the second half of the season.  That combined with decent form from a few others, Hitz and Angel in particular was enough to turn a solid side into one chasing Europe.

But what can you do with a defence so weak, when we look like we'll ship a hatful in every game we face?

GH doesn't seem that bothered. He landed in saying 7th-12th was where he viewed us, so straight away he must have factored in a few defeats and doesn't seem all that concerned by them.

But losing can become a habit. And continuing to pick Dunne and Warnock endorses their performance, it say's that level of performance is OK for us. It flaming well isn't.

Jol gone from Ajax.
Geordies with no money to spend a bigger pull than us!?!?

my thoughts

IF he goes, it's because Newcastle had the balls to go for him.

Feel a bit sorry for Gabby. He's led the line well but had literally nothing in the way of support.
